The headline fellows

No it is not gen y,x it is us.. specifically it is people who just post headlines without any checks to see if what they are posting is factual or not. Generally it is a hate, ridicule.. like a poster and the medium does not matter, facebook, twitter, whatsapp group.. all they are looking for is a dopamine hit, these are people who have jobs or run business are responsible people they post really shitty pieces of information. I have recently started confronting this and this is my take on how it works

Side note : Facebook, twitter, youtube has been designed to keep you engaged at all times, the more you post the more they know about you and will show feeds relative to what you are posting, essentially it is feeding your emotion. That is how the algorithms work, if you are right oriented you will see matter bashing left and how the right is the victim and vice versa, the tactic is same from both sides almost to the T, a lot of CTRL F is used in the text Anyways this is how it goes down, you post something stupid, and you get likes on your post you feel wanted, happy ..etc etc somebody instead points out that you are talking shit, now two things happen

  •  You backoff (I will fuck with you later)
    •  If you know the person and not sure if they know more than you but you resolve to get him/her with something in future - it is dopamine denied .. revenge .You will then start sending the most absurd of posters without any context
    • You know the person and stop responding that particular comment, and all your "like minded" friends keep on congratulating .. Your mind is happy .. but you will get him/ her some day
  • You attack (how dare you come in between me and my dopamine)
    • You may know or not know the person and everybody of your "like minded" friend will pounce on him/her. You and your friends will troll and troll till you get your fill
    • You will ignore, not because he/she is wrong, it is because you know you are wrong and you have been caught you fight with your data and you fight with no data and you then fight.. and at the end you say.. fuck you ..and fuck off i know this.. and this is what it is.. you have no idea this is the parting shot.. you just wait and watch
It is about who wins the argument, it is not about right or wrong .. it is see how smart I am.. and how I made you look small..

The problem especially in the circles that i am in which is predominantly Indian, people who comments on history of India have never ever read .. they hated history when in school and have not invested even now to learn. Civics is another subject which is so fucking undervalued in our school and colleges.

Most of these guys are just looking for a headline

Prohibition stories

I have been following Joe Rogan for some time now in You tube, there is a series of sessions on this "War on Drugs" in US, and the more I learn the more i believe that it is really shitty, especially after a visit to Neatherlands where these things have been legalized. While the issue is not as bad in India as in USA, due to a more social acceptability of smoking Ganja / Cannabis, however we are turning and turning quite fast to this prohibition society which is quite scary. Especially in case of Punjab, and in the big cities it would make sense to have systems to help people, especially the poor and the Kids, check out the video on Kamlesh, one of the saddest videos i have seen

Technology, media today and me..

there are just too many of them, whatsapp is the leading light, took over from facebook, then twitter is for abusing and for the rich and famous and especially for Trump to disrupt the economies of the world, snapchat, telegram, instagram, people are forgetting to write and more importantly forgetting to speak to others. Then you have the bombardment of news channels and news which are more like thoughts of the anchors are becoming the news I never was able to understand twitter, just did not understand, actually had the same problem with faceboook, i started with Orkut and took time to get in facebook, i had a good time there, but off late have this nagging feeling that it is not helping me, in the last few years i have met less friends / family than previous years have spoken less with them, have definitely typed more, but have not connected really connected with them.We used to have this conference calls before the FB and the whatsapp days, it has stopped completely So I came out of facebook, called a few guys, but whatsapp is more convenient, good thing is that i dont have to look at people fighting each other calling names that was good, but still no calls, i dont go often enough to even meet friends here in Pune, have i reached my age, have i become too old to change, can i come out of my so called comfort inert zone i did write this, good... :)

Names

have been thinking about these names Dablu - Primarily a eastern India name, in use often with Babloo - two brothers Bablu and Dablu Pinku and the female version of Pinki Question I get in my mind is whether these names exist prior to the English language coming to the Indian shores or is it the English alphabet
"W"
and the color Pink

Childhood - death or murder

Just have got this feeling for some time now, did Manoj's sister die of smoke / suffocation or was it murder. A place near Ranchi, around 1980 or 81, i was in class 2 i think, the news came in that Manoj's elder or eldest sister (Dont quite remember) has died of asphyxiation due to smoke. It was winter, it got mighty cold in the winters. people used to have a chullah (it is a coal and wood clay stove) in the room, once the initial smoke has been fanned out the coal burns nicely and makes the room warmer. I think she was in class 12 or something, it was also a phase when young girls used to fall in love quickly and elope with very less thought with a very questionable characters, and this is the backdrop when we got to know that she had died. i dont know why this is still in my head, but there is just too many things that I cannot piece together, however tight you close them windows and the doors or those ventilators there is always some cracks, and these were old houses with large windows and ventilators, also the rooms were not that big that you cannot reach in 3 or 4 steps may be 5 at the most, and then there was this girl, not a frail old thing but a strong girl. How did she die, i just cant shake it off
